Taste of Soul 2025!!

Because of my journalism career, I left California in 2011. I haven't been to the Taste of Soul festival in Los Angeles since the first year it opened. Today, I was there and it did not disappoint! It was a sight to see so many beautiful Black people from all walks of life, simply enjoying each other in the neighborhood I grew up in, the Crenshaw District. The heart and soul of Black L.A. I was there for a few hours but the music, the food, the vendors, the panels and the people let me know we are still a vibrant community that will not be ignored.
